Your role will be to develop our Java web-facing user and client-application interfaces, and their underlying functionality for interacting with our platform. You must have an excellent demonstrable knowledge of HTTP, client-server architecture, authentication methodologies, Java web application architectures, SQL database design, and web-service APIs (such as Facebook, Metaweblog, Atom, GData). Experience with EC2 and S3 would be highly desirable. You will work with subordinate web and client developers.
You should be up with agile methodologies, the latest web and social networking application technologies, and standards movements. You really love writing well-defined code, and probably go to BarCampDelhi and read TechCrunch. You enjoy professional interaction with other developers around the world to implement specifications and standards, defining interaction models and providing constructive feedback to further their development.

Your role will be working with our lead web engineer in developing our Java web-facing user and client-application interfaces, and their underlying functionality for interacting with our databases. You should be up with agile methodologies and the latest web application technologies. Your role will be to develop and optimise the server and client processes for the handling of media files and their transfer to external web-services, creating the glue that binds functionality across multiple environments. You should be an expert in parallel and asynchronous threading, familiar with techniques such as method abstraction, data normalisation and serialisation, factories, test harnesses and frameworks. You may be extending and modifying client applications on a number of platforms. You should be proficient in many languages, however your core experience should be with Java, but capable with other languages. Knowledge of imaging libraries would be beneficial.
